RECORD/FRAUD ALERT SYSTEM
The Potter County Record of Deeds office now has a record alert system available to the public free of charge. The system will alert you via email and/or text message anytime a document is filed associated with your name or tax parcel ID. This will help landowners immediately recognize fraud and mitigate the damage. It will also help you keep track of any other documents publicly recorded regarding your land, such as deeds, rights of way, leases, mortgages, etc. Please input your name and other possible spellings as recorded on your deed or mortgage (may include middle initials or names, suffixes, maiden names and the like) and your tax parcel ID numbers. Tax Parcel IDs can be found on your tax bill or on the county GIS map. Please feel free to call the office with any questions.

Potter County is one of 30 Pennsylvania counties which can accommodate remote access through the internet to certain property records in the office of the Register of Wills/Recorder of Deeds. The service is made possible through a partnership with Landex.
